convert2JpegLite lets you try out the capabilities of the Pro version of convert2Jpeg with a fully functional version that will find all your images, but will only convert up to 4 of them.
If you are like most of us, you have probably owned and taken photos on several iPhone®, iPad® or other digital cameras - and surprise, every time you get a new one, the naming of the photos starts over, like IMG-001... How many IMG-001 do you have?
convert2JpegLite hunts down the images from wherever you tell it to start, and converts up to 4 of them to JPEG format, standardizes the EXIF metadata, corrects the time stamps for the images and the file systems date/times, AND provides an enhanced, unique, professional name.
Capabilities: select multiple sources of images, folders, or disks; select Apple Mail archives as a source to search for images; select Apple Message archives as a source to search for images; find all images; set conversion constraints for size, compression, DPI; chose to make PNGs also; chose whether to delete metadata, convert all images (Lite version is limited to 100 images converted); copy images to external locations, examine image metadata, Export to Photos, Send images via Mail, Send images via Messages, Print images as 35mm slide format or full-size prints, modify the amount of parallel processing performed.
convert2JpegLite will process most Digital Camera RAW formats, as well as .psd, .gif, jpeg, jpeg-2000, .bmp, .pict (see Caveat below), .png and .tiff (limited by which types macOS supports on your computer). TRY convert2JpegLite on sample files to make sure it works the way you want BEFORE you buy the Pro version of convert2Jpeg!
convert2JpegLites unique algorithm examines each specific image and compares it to all others and skips the duplicates, allowing you to potentially eliminate tons of wasted space.
convert2JpegLite enhances the original name to include professional metadata to clearly and uniquely let you identify every image, making it easier to sort and sift through all your images.
The professional name for the newly converted image will be in the format:
"original name"_Now-" pixels wide" x" pixels high-pixels_Was-" pixels wide" x" pixels high"-pixels-"original-filesize""-bytes_Taken-YYYYMMDD-hhmmss-" Camera Manufacturer"-" Camera Model"-" original image type" .jpg
for example:
DSC2862_Now-1920x1280-pixels_Was-8256x5504-pixels-51759135-bytes_Taken-20201210-200943-NIKON CORPORATION-NIKON Z 7-NEF.jpg
convert2JpegLite DOES NOT change or delete any original image, data, file, or names - it places the newly converted image in the convert2Jpeg Archive at a location you specify and CANNOT and WILL NOT write over your existing files.
NOTE: convert2JpegLite may stumble if filenames contain non Roman/Latin characters, as it relies on ISO/IEC 8859-1 or Latin-1 8-bit character sets that encode all Latin character sets used in Europe and the Americas.
